Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) Points Calculator
The UK Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) has been very successful since it was introduced on 28 January 2002. On 7 November 2006 the points requirement for HSMP (The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme) went up to seventy-five points and a number of other significant changes were made.

Qualification*    (Maximum 50 points)

You will gain 30, 35 or 50 points for your qualifications. If the qualification was gained in the UK you will gain an additional 5 points.
PhD - 50 points
Masters Degree (eg MA, MSc or MBA) or Professional Level Qualification (eg       Chartered Accountant) - 35 points
A Bachelors Degree (eg BA, BSc) - 30 points
None of above - 0 points
 

UK Qualification*    (at least at Bachelors degree or equivalent)

UK Qualification - 5 points
No UK Qualification - 0 points
 

Earning Power*    (Maximum 45 points)

HSMP earning power requirements

Please state below recent earnings in UK Currency. You will gain 5 to 45 points under this HSMP category depending on earning power and Country of residence. If the work experience was in the UK you will gain an additional five points. Please go to the international currency convertor if you wish to convert to UK currency.
Income over last twelve months in UK Currency (if you are a student for the 12 months before you became a student).

Age*    (Maximum 20 points)

If you are under 32 years of age you will gain points based on age.
27 or under - 20 points
28 or 29 - 10 points
30 or 31 - 5 points
32 or older - 0 points
 

MBA Provision    (Maximum 75 points)

I have a MBA from one of the following Universities, and have graduated since 2 December 2004. If you meet this requirement and the other requirements section you will automatically gain enough points

Please note that if you tick the last option of any of the following a to f you will not be granted entry on the basis of HSMP to the UK.
You are proficient in English
You are not proficient in English - not eligible
You can support yourself without claiming benefits from the Government. You will need to demonstrate this on the basis of either savings or earning potential
You are unable to show that you will have sufficient funds in the UK to pay your living expenses there - not eligible
You intend to make the UK your main home
You will continue to spend most of your time outside the UK - not eligible
You have either never been made bankrupt or are considered to be a discharged bankrupt
You are currently bankrupt - not eligible
You have never been convicted of any criminal offences
You have been convicted of a criminal offence - not eligible
